Yoga is a personal journey - I am here to help you on that journey. This is a slow mindful yoga class that helps you deal with the stress of everyday life. This is not fast-paced yoga but rather slow yoga with pauses throughout the class to reflect on the poses. The pause and reflection are just as important as the pose as it gives our body and mind connection and improves our self-awareness. We will begin each week with a short discussion and set an intention for our yoga practice. I encourage my yogi students to use this intention throughout the week. We will progress into a warm-up, a slow mindful practice with pauses to reflect on our body, and finish with a meditation (savasana). Supplies Needed: Students should have a yoga mat or a towel for class. If you are using a towel please make sure it is not on a slippery surface. Bare feet are preferable as it allows for a better grip. But if you would like to wear socks please make sure they are yoga-style socks with grip points on the sole. Please have water available and loose/comfortable clothing for movement. If you have yoga blocks/yoga straps they can be helpful or just a thick book and a belt work great too! But these are not a requirement for my classes. Please also note: yoga is a physical activity and injuries can occur, please listen to your body and don't over-extend.
